great savings with online coupons

I noticed the other day that my husband has been online looking for coupons and checking our mail for those mailer deals.  With the economy in bad shape these days and everyone’s income is down, I know we are having the same problems as others.  Coupons are saving us a great deal of money I found out.  Usually with our shopping trip, it's 10 to 20 dollars at times.

Hubby shops according to the coupons he finds.  It can be anything from automotive needs to foods especially my ever favorite Ghirardelli Chocolate.  I caught him the other day with Online Coupons for his Jelly Belly jelly beans.  Boy oh boy, he likes these and I’m always reminding him that too much of a good thing can be bad for him but at least if he has a jelly belly habit, it’s not as bad as other habits.  The thing that is cool about this is that there are coupons out there for just about everything if you look hard enough.  I’m hoping that we never have to pay full price for anything ever again.  If there is a discount I’m sure hubby will find it in the form of a coupon saving us a great deal of money.

off to Victoria and Port Lavaca, Texas

The pictures above are of my hubby and my daughter at a fishing pier in Port Lavaca, Texas.  We went for a drive down there today.  As what hubby said, today is what we call as Sunday Road Trip.  We went to a city called Victoria, and when we got there, we felt like there is not much in that little city.  We found a good sea food restaurant there though and had our lunch there.  Then, hubby decided to drive further to Port Lavaca so we can see the ocean again.  It felt good to feel the sea breeze again.

The drive was long about three hours.  I kinda find it weird that there is nothing about 15 minutes away from San Antonio until to a bigger city.  But still the green scenery we passed by was so relaxing and beautiful.  We were hoping to find fresh sea food while we were there but to no luck.  Well, better luck next time, right?  All in all, we had an enjoyable day cruising from one town to another.  I hope you enjoyed your weekend, too.  Have a blessed week ahead!

hotel, beach and golf courses into one

I have been thinking of something new that hubby and I can do together. Some kind of sport would be nice and one that is enjoyable for sure.  When thinking, I came up with the idea of learning to play golf.  I didn’t want to learn to go golfing at local boring courses but I want to go somewhere special where there is a beach, hotel and golf courses.  Why don’t we just Golf Myrtle Beach?

We have always wanted to go to Myrtle Beach and we found out they are offering great Myrtle Beach Golf Packages.  What a perfect vacation that would make for us and our daughter!  With our new found golfing skills, we can enjoy all the things Myrtle Beach Golf Vacations have to offer. With hotels, beaches and golf courses all located in the same area, we can go to the beach, golf and see all the sites in one convenient setting. I’ll start looking for our perfect vacation now so when it’s time for us to go I can surprise my husband with the plans already being made.

I can’t wait to go Golf Myrtle Beach.  Looking online at all things that are offered in the Myrtle Beach area has made me so excited for a vacation there that I will insist we begin our golf lessons as soon as possible. I’m sure hubby will enjoy it because he is always talking about how he used to go to the driving range where he always practiced driving golf balls as far as he could.

sick of our online trading company

My husband uses an online trading company which has done nothing but charged us a lot of money for trades and never answers us when we ask them questions about trading.  He pays the monthly fee for the services but the services are not what they have promised.  To make a long story short, we have lost a bit of money with our Online Trading. Tough times call for tough changes.

We are going to immediately look for a better company for our Stock Trading needs.  Competition among these companies is great and we have found one that offers a great service at about half of what we pay now.  We will have our own Online Broker to follow our trades and advise us according to our needs.  It is time to start moving forward with a wise choice and start saving for our future.  We know that there is no guarantee not to lose money, but what we can be guaranteed by the new company we have chosen is that we will at least be informed.

I’m looking forward to seeing our portfolio grow and hubby with a lot less stress.  Maybe if we get lucky we can save some money and hopefully go on the vacation we have been planning for some time.

my corvette in my dreams

Hubby and I just can't help but drool over this sports car.  It's a Corvette Stingray for 2013.  We went to the 41st Annual International Auto and Truck Show yesterday at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in Downtown, San Antonio.  It was truly amazing.

At first, I wasn't inclined to go to this thing since I have been to a car show once while we were still in Denver.  But in the middle of the day, I changed  my mind.  So, off we went and boy, I was so glad we did.  It was fun to see new cool stuffs in the auto industry; and I enjoyed every minute of it!

looking for good deals on fragrances?

Have you been thinking of what presents to give to your loved-ones this Christmas?  Or is it too early yet?  I believe it is never too early to think of this stuff months ahead, right?  With the economy we have at present, it is but necessary to plan and think ahead especially when you spend money.

That is why as early as about a month ago, I have been thinking of what to give for Christmas; and have been looking for good deals online especially with fragrances.  Yes, Classic Women's Perfumes are what I am thinking of giving my mother and sister-in-law for Christmas; and of course, Classic Men's Cologne for Dad and for hubby.  Hubby still has a half-full bottle of his favorite perfume so I am not sure if I will get him one.  But if I can find good deals, why not right?

How about you, guys?  Any gift idea yet?  Well whatever it's going to be, I wish all of us a fabulous Christmas.

a relaxing Thursday night

Myspace Graphics

Yay, tonight is left-over night!  That means I don't have to make dinner, yeppers!  Then, tomorrow will be our usual Friday night out so that means I don't have to cook for two nights in a row.  How cool is that!  Come weekend time is hubby's turn to make dinner so...  You already know what I want to say, right?

This means more blogging time?  Well, I am actually happy with my progress today in the blogging world.  I did a couple of tasks so I am good for now.  I can concentrate on my favorite TV shows tonight.  It will be a relaxing Thursday night for sure.  And I hope you the same folks.  Have a good one!

just a friend's luck!

I just talked to a friend on the phone and she is so excited for their upcoming road trip to Ohio.  They are going to spend Thanksgiving there with her husband’s family.  She also told me that she is having a hard time looking for a pair of boots for her trip in Ohio for she heard that it is so cold there.  I told her to check out zappos.com for this online store has everything she needs for her trip from apparel especially the Lucky Brand ones, to shoes to handbags/bags to housewares.

Hey girl’s talk, right?  Our conversation is never complete without talking about shopping.  I just hope that she could find what she needs for her trip.  I pray that she and her family will have a safe trip and the most memorable Thanksgiving celebration.  Have a good one all!

sugar for hiccups?

I don't like hiccups, do you?  Of course, I bet you would say, you don't like it, too!  It is just so irritating and very uncomfortable when you're going to have this condition, right?  Here's a home remedy that every body can do when we have hiccups.  I gather that a teaspoon of sugar swallowed dry can stop hiccups in minutes. The sugar is believed to modify the nerve muscles that would otherwise tell the muscles in the diaphragm to contract spasmodically and contribute to hiccups.  Hmm, interesting right?  You bet I will try this when I have hiccups.

new lockers, please?

I’ve been noticing lately that my husband’s clothes have always been coming home dirty. He has a uniform at work that he wears but still I wonder where he gets all the dust and dirt from.  I found out that he changes his clothes to his uniforms when he gets there, and then puts his them in a Gym Locker at his work.  So where does the dirt come from?

Well I come to find out, these old Wood Lockers he and the others are using at his work are so old and dirty that it just comes home on his clothes he stores in the locker during the day.  It’s really gross and I think his work should look into new Lockers for the health of all who work there.  I’ve seen some really cool lockers online and hopefully I can convince my husband to bring it up in his next employee meeting.

I often wonder why the work places of some businesses don’t try to keep these places cleaner for their employees.  Along with health, there should be a level of security offered for the employees and their personal items.  Wouldn’t that be wonderful for hubby and his friends at work if they soon would receive a Christmas present of new lockers at work. It would make me happy too because my laundry chores would be a lot less.
